I have spent twelve joyful years meditating with monks at
the Dhammakaya Temple. I have also had the fortune of meeting Luang Phaw
Dhammajayo and Luang Phaw Dhatatjivo, two great figures in Thailand who teach
us how to be ethical, loving and wise human beings. Most importantly, to focus
on our inner light, which is the presence of the Divinity within each of us,
and nurture it, by doing good deeds..
"This little light of mine,
I'm going to make it shine...
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine."
.......................................
"I'm going to take this light around the world,
I'm going to make it shine"
......................................
We need to love, seek world peace through meditation, not
war.
At each meditation we send loving kindness to everyone in
the world, barring none- not even the world's most evil, hateful beings. No, we must forgive everyone and send them
loving kindness: Mehta.
It is I who thank you and all the Dhammakaya monks. Because of all of you, I am a stronger
Catholic, a more forgiving person, a more loving and resolute person who
continues the pursuit of seeking self improvement and inclusion in life. We are all part of one family. Love conquers all.
